Art Deco Peacock Vintage Prong-Set Emerald Green Stones Figural Pin Brooch - this book piece brooch is made in many variations - the body is always the same with differing colors of enamel, the rhinestone tail feathers come in many configurations. These brooches are becoming hard to find. Measuring 3 1/2 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches tall and manufactured in the early 40's, the pin is in excellent vintage condition - plated rhodium is bright on the front and back. The transparent green stones are original and in good condition. Gorgeous unsigned peacock brooch. The pin back is straight and strong, the mechanism closes securely. These peacock brooches have recently been attributed to Reinad/Chanel Novelty Brooches.
