Designer Jamie Lim grew up in South East Asia, surrounded by the batik kaftans worn by her mother, and handmade rattan dining chairs. As she witnessed these artisanal goods be replaced by mass produced synthetics, Jamie created Kayu as a means to offer timeless personal and home accessories, made with the finest natural materials, and preserve indigenous craft. Crafted in top grain vegetable tanned leather that is natural and chemical free, the Santorini Vegetable Tanned Leather Sandal is subtly elegant in a way that can only come from artisan-made shoes. This one is meticulously handcrafted by a family owned workshop in Greece using traditional techniques.
